take note: bad things happen when you start looking up information on lolcats.

It starts at wikipedia, where you are helpfully informed that lolcats are cat macros, etc.

Then you learn that someone has started developing a programming language called LOLCODE ([link]) It looks something like this:
HAI
CAN HAS STDIO?
VISIBLE "HAI WORLD!"
KTHXBYE

so I'll be honest, I think that's kind of hilarious because it's so geeky in so many ways.

but then you find out that someone's started translating the Bible into lolcats. This I find scary. No, not because it's heresy or anything like that. It's just a wtf moment where you wonder who the hell would ever want to do that? The bible is long and boring and the end result is not as funny as looping by typing "IM IN YR LOOP".

And then I find out that some sad, sad people have started a convention for internet memes. It is called ROFLcon, and its birth is slated to happen late April, up the road from my school.
WTF??
seriously, what the hell do you talk about at a convention about internet memes?? And why are you polluting my city with it??
I can't even come up with a snarky example of a LOLcat panel, there just isn't anything there!

please don't go to ROFLcon*. It will lessen my opinion of you as a human being.
